How to Backup Files

After customizing the settings in your template (e.g., changing currencies, labels, or formats), we strongly recommend saving a backup copy of the unused version.

This ensures you always have a clean template ready in case you need it again.

Backup Google Sheets File

  1. Go to File > Make a Copy.

  2. The duplicate will be saved directly to your Google Drive.

  3. Rename the copy clearly (e.g., Template – SL Ver).

  4. For easy access, store it in a dedicated folder (e.g., “Resources”) so all backup files stay organized.

Backup Microsoft Excel File

  1. Go to File > Save As.

  2. Choose a location or folder to save the backup file (your computer, an external hard disk, or cloud storage).

  3. For remote access, select a cloud service such as OneDrive or Google Drive.

  4. Rename the file (e.g., Template – SL Ver).

  5. Click Save.
